A new tour begins!
I was having some fun in L.A. for few days.
Just before the rehearsals for the tour, I went there to write couple of new songs for my album.
Very interesting material was born and I can’t wait for you to get to listen them! You’ll be surprised, I’m pretty sure.
Here is a photo of lovely Bart and me taken in his studio after we finished gathering together all our ideas for a mystical, dark song.
Black Sabbath–Pink Floyd goes Tarja’s way… some weird stuff 
Unfortunately there was no chance to take a photo with Johnny, because I suffered terrible headache on the day when we needed to finalize our song. I needed to stay in bed the whole day away from the light. I am sorry Johnny 
Well, I know we got there another killer song for the next album 
Now all the band and crew, we have been in the Big Apple rehearsing for the shows. It felt so good to meet everybody again and start the fun.
I am so happy to meet all my American friends tonight in the first show!
It is very nice to play with the “original” live line up now. Has been 1 year since that happened last time!

As many of you might know already, there is a health issue problems at the moment especially in Mexico, USA and Canada.
Still Mexico is the worst affected area and is very sad that people are dying because of this flu. Our condolences to all families of the flu victims. We all hope this will end up very soon.
You might also know that I am supposed to have a concert pretty soon in Mexico City.
I want to let all my fans know that as long as the government of Mexico does not cancel the public events, I am heading to Mexico and I’m going to have my show there.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the disease gets under control and people can return to their normal life.
As always, I’ll keep you posted on the tour. Let’s rock the “AMERICAS”!

I don’t know if you’ll be able to indeed perform for us here in Mexico, but knowing that you really wish to do so really warms my heart and I feel very grateful with you. Thank you. Perhaps the government will not allow the concert to go on and that is okay, for everyone’s safety, but if that is the case I hope you’ll be able to reschedule it for better times, perhaps after you finish your gigs in Argentina. But, seriously, the main risk is for the audience because gatherings are ideal for spreading diseases.
Anyway, please have fun! I’m so curious about your new song! I expect anything from you! The only (weird) (real) (extreme) surprise for me would be a Britney Spears cover. Let’s say “Baby One More Time”. Or an Edith Piaf cover (please don’t).

Hi Tarja!
I must say reading about you wanting something like the guitar sound of KoRn, Slipknot (eww!) and the like made me me go huh?, WTF! and hmmmm. Frankly, I’m skeptical about the idea of combining alternative or nu metal with opera vocals, there are too many female-fronted bands aping Evanescence and Lacuna Coil these days already. But Sabbath and Floyd meets Tarja sounds a lot more interesting already! Now I’m really curious!

Tarja, please be very careful, you want to see here in Mexico for almost a year and are really eager to get back your health comes first but please be very careful what they say on TV is not true, there are many more cases of this disease, only that we have no medicines to treat it and do not want it published.
really, please, you really love your fans and your health is above all else, the flu is highly contagious and there is no preventive vaccine, actually cuidate much, a love that lasts Tarja many many years.

As we all know about the flu which has almost becoming a world wide flu… Indeed you must be careful! Many people died already… and more to come… It is terrible! It has not reached the Dutch borders yet… they say… but I think it’s here too. Anyway, I AM HOPING THAT YOU CAN DECIDE YOURSELF IF YOU WILL OR WILL NOT PERFORM THIS TOUR OR IN THESE COUNTRIES, AND NOT A PROMOTER, BECAUSE IT IS YOUR HEALTH

Tarja, even there isn’t any gig here in Brasil this time, your brazilian fans are wishing you success in you first gig in the USA. And in the future you can reach more than this, but also Japan, Portugal and many more.
What Lies Beneath sounds promising, I’m looking forward to hear it. 
And don’t worry with this pigflu. I believe you’re going to Mexico because you’re well informed about the disease, and know that having the right care, with hygiene over all, you don’t take any risk. (don’t forget to clean your hands ;D).
But still there is a problem. And I want to alert people (who’s going to this gig) of this. A narrow crowd, singing, screaming, sneezing in each other in a country affected for this disease is the right place to infect more people. And THIS people must to be careful because we, in Brasil, know the situation of awashed hospitals, with a bad structure, and this is the biggest problem in Mexico, not the disease it self. I hope the organization of this concert make something to prevent any contamination, and everybody have fun!

I hope that you don’t get me wrong about the promoters, What I meant was this:
If the promoters are deciding, and they decide that Tarja must perform, while the risk of getting a flu (both for Tarja and her fans) is high then they take a huge risk. BUT I am definately sure that the right choices will be made and I hope that Tarja can perform in Mexico and the rest of the countries as well. because it will be sad for everyone if she can’t perform because of this flu.
It is a bit hard for me to explain what I mean, but I hope you’ll get the message.
We all want what’s best for Tarja and her loving fans…

Be careful at Mexico… The problem is reeeealy serious… Here in Brazil we’re taking all the possible measures for this problem don’t affect our people. And you should wear a mask while you’re on the city. Believe me, I’m a Nurse!! =)

Seeing you last night in NYC was absolutely AMAZING! Having never seen you live before (except for DVD’s) I did not know what to expect. I was completely brought to tears as you opened the show and throughout your whole set. No concert has ever done this to me. What an angelic voice and performance! I will treasure this forever and cannot wait until you come back again.

I’m going to see you tomorrow in Montréal, along with 2 friends I converted to your music. I’ve been a die-hard fan or your performance for a long time (yeah, since 1998). I’m also going to celebrate my birthday tomorrow: hearing and seeing you is going to be a gift I’m gonna cherish for a long time.
One of your performances mean a lot to me. Even though I know this song is part of a past you’d rather not discuss too much, the way you sing it added to the meaning I gave the whole song just blend into something magical. If you read this before May 1st, please think about they joy you’ll provide a young 25-year old man.

I love Tarja good and actually find a great singer is my big dream is to know some of the best people and I love singing, one can tell that his group caldas nightwish lay mainly in all participants Tarja including this, since without it the group is slowly sinking, but she is reborn as a phoenix and sings better than anyone, is the quality in each, and without a good voice is not a banda, Tarja solo is excellent and I love it ….

But about the Mexico… Now I’m really scared! I won’t tell you not to go there, because I know you made a decision and if you are sure that you want to go, then I will not even try to stop you…but… just, please, take care of yourself! Oh well… Are you sure you read all this messages? xD This probably not be different (sory, my english is too far from being perfect) from a thousand another mails, but… So, what can I say??? Everybody says “love you, Tarja”, and I believe love is a much deeper feeling than the love from man to woman, or from mother to child. Love is to hear a song, even de singing of the birds, to see a flower blooming on spring, to see the sunset… love is something warmth you feel inside and it can be motivated (don’t sure is is the word) for many many years.
Hearing your songs, your voice (I heard Nightwish for the first time at the age of 16 and I was just… how do you say… blow away!), it trully makes me feel happy inside.
So… I’m from Argentina (Tierra del Fuego, mor exactly) but I live in Uruguay, Montevideo.
It will be so great if sometime you came here to perform.
You’ll see, travelling to the “next shore” (as “montevideans” calls Buenos Aires) is not that easy as it seams :’(
Well… I can’t imagine how many mistakes I’m making on my english, but I hope you’ll be able to understand whay I am saying.
I love the fact you are writing your own songs this time, not that the winter storms lyrics are not beautifull, but I’m very curious about your poetry
Ah, one more thing… I’m not going to say “I’m a writer”, but I do write poetry, short tales, novels… And one of my tales was inspired in you and some of your work.
So, when I get tu published it I will send you a copy of the book (but I supose your husband will have to translated for you since I’m very far of being Anne Rice and get my work translated).
Really, honestly and without (whats the word?) overreacting?, no… exagerating? (grrr… ok) Really, love you.
Have a grat show, you’re unique and I’ll follow your carear, like I do since more than 6 years.
