Greetings from Antigua!
I have been spending a couple of weeks writing new songs with my friends here in Antigua, in the beautiful island surroundings.
The result is telling of the great and inspiring atmosphere we have had.
I mean, the songs are REALLY amazing. I feel that the process of writing songs this time is much easier than it was for My Winter Storm.
Might be that the songwriters already know me and there is not such a pressure on us than we had with a debut album.
Luckily the time is also on our side since we have still quite some time to come up with more killer songs.
I also found the courage to come up with my own songs and ideas, which is making me very, very happy.
Last time, during MWS process, I was telling you the name of the songs and some parts of their lyrics. It was very nice and motivating to read your comments and wild guesses about the meaning of the songs.
So, this time I will do it again. Here goes the first title:
“The Crying Moon”
This new song we did with Michelle and Kiko and we borrowed a wonderful riff from Mr. Doug Wimbish that I heard during the last tour and that I loved deeply.
I am still searching for a title for the album, but little by little, all the pieces are falling into the right place and the idea is already turning in my head.
The island of Antigua is again making me happy. I guess even more than on my last visit here, even though, this time the reason to come was only work. Still we have been able to enjoy the nature and the beauty of it.
Few nights ago we went with Angela, Adrian and Torsten to Bird Island where we ate a great barbecue and slept overnight.
Find few more photos with Michelle and Kiko and with Angela and Adrian.
And once again with Torsten adding some arrangements to the music.
I discovered one of the boats used in Pirates of the Caribbean movies, just walking distance to the place where we are staying. Don’t get confused with the new colours!
So that’s all for now. I’ll write to you soon! Bye.
With Love,
Tarja

July 1st, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Now let’s get serious haha
How are you my lovely? I am so happy for you that the process is going great!!! The title, The crying moon makes me very very curious!!! I am sure it will be a wonderful song! I hope that the songs that you write yourself will be the way that YOU would love them to be! and I believe that you can pull it off!!! Listen to your heart!!!
Maybe you can put a little contest with this, about the album title or something like that haha, you’ll never know the titles the fans come up with
It makes me happy to see you so happy on the pictures and I can really see and feel that you are feeling even better then making the first album!
At this moment your music helps me so much, I have started a new job in a city near Amsterdam, I don’t know anyone or anything there and I live in a room that I rent from a guy who I don’t know, and also don’t really like! I am having really hard times with that, but your music keeps me holding on! Thank you so much for that! That is one reason why I love you so much! And I feel really happy that I’ve met you in December and since that day I am sure that you are such a great, warm, caring and loving person, also in real life! I wish that I could meet you again some time… I would love to give you a hug right now, but I can’t and that makes me a bit sad, because I need a hug… …from you…..
but anyway… let’s not get too dramatic now, happy time!!! tarja’s here with me in my head, heart and ears!!! Tarja picture on my wall
soon I will have my own home… but when exactly I don’t know….
I am really looking forward to the metal female voices fest show!! Maybe you will play a new song there? Remember that I will be there for you and only you and I have presents!!!
I would like to thank you again for sending me a Tourbook! I totally love it!!!
Now, I need to go now and you should write some kick-ass songs now haha!!
I love you Tarja!!!!
with all the love that I have
Mariël Rohrbach

You must read that book….
love you!!!

Hello Tarja!
:p
Nice to hear from you again. Wow I never thought you would start working with a new album this fast, you haven’t even finished your tour yet… Make sure not to push yourself to hard and… I’ll better contact Marcelo about this.
I’m looking forward to hear news about the new album, My Winter Storm was much better then I had expected, actually I am listening to it almost every day, and has been since I got the album on its release. I really should stop, or I might worn it out some day, that would be an awful shame.
Thanks for the gig in Gothenburg anyway, thanks for signing the My Winter Storm cd and the Die Alive single, they stand next to my signed Bruce Dickinson album so you should be honoured.
Good luck with your new album, you can always e-mail me audio snippets in case you need some help with them
Love Linn

Hi Tarja,
So great to hear from you again and new song titles already! How wonderful! I read with interest about your “working trip” to Antigua and the pictures are great! I have no doubt that you are working hard, and it is great that you are able to enjoy the beauty and the weather also.
You mentioned that you hadn’t selected a title for your new album and I wonder if it would be ok to suggest to you a little contest for all of us, your fans. Would you consider taking suggestions from us to recommend an album title maybe later on as the song titles are firmed up?
As time goes on and you are able to work on more songs maybe a theme will appear (or you may already have one). It might be fun for us (and you) to see what we can come up with. You would, of course, be under no obligation to use a title suggestion and whatever the title becomes we will all love it as we have MWS.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write to all of us. You are amazing!
The very very best to you!

The Moon always embodies a female, sensual nature. It always stares thoughtfully into water darkness with a light melancholy. I cannot imagine the laughing Moon
I think, female nature itself always has a strong presence and influence of the Moon image, and an image of crying moon too, of course, sometimes.
So I imagine the image of Crying Moon cannot be separated from the story about female nature, or about something with a female/ water nature…
I like pictures of your living in Antigua so much,….. So I start thinking about why don’t to switch urgently my summer holiday to Antigua this summer?

I noticed there is a song by Opeth, “Under the Weeping Moon” …
And one of my favourite songs is “Under a Glass Moon” by Dream Theater. Cool!
If the new songs are up to the amazing skills of your fabulous band as well as yours, the songs will floor everyone! Your musicians are so good at improvising, you can let them come up with their own parts!

Wow, you’re quite anxious to work at the next album. Not that I’m complaining, though, hehe. I’m quite curious about the songs, and I’m over-excited that you’ve started composing by yourself, because after hearing Oasis, I’m positive that the next songs will be a blast!
I also wonder if the song “The Crying Moon” will be a ballad or a heavier song.By the title I’m compelled to think that it will be a ballad, but I’m not sure… guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Hope to hear news from you soon, and hear your voice as well in a concert here too,
Iulia

“The crying moon”. Very beautiful title. Desperate songs are the most beautiful.
!
It could be a ballad, but it could also be very heavy, about dark influences. Maybe werewolves
Certainly a lot of mystery. It makes me think about “Fantasmic”. And of course, “Moon Dance”.
Basically it can be nearly everything!
I just hope we will enjoy your strong high voice (without artificial chorus effect please, it spoils your voice IMO), with beautiful rock. What you do the best!
And thank you for your blog.

SPECIAL HUGS for you from the Bulgarian fans!!!
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Hi Tarja,
nice to hear that you have a great time.
Crying the moon … the title reminds me of “Cry for the moon” from Epica
cant wait to hear the song !!
As a album title I translatet the german word “mondsüchtig” into english:
MOONSTRUCK
…it just popped into my mind
I wish you all the best !
Grüße aus Deutschland,
Patrick
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Oh sorry, I see, its “The Crying Moon”
July 2nd, 2008 at 5:15 pm
Dear Tarja,
thank you very much for your new blog and the pics!!
“The Crying Moon” => hm, let’s see… the moon sees a lot that is going on at earth. And he is above all. Hm, at night, maybe he has observed something that made him sad. Perhaps one special thing like violence or a war. Or maybe he is crying about what is happening to earth, environment, mankind? Maybe he cries for all the people and beings can be togehter on earth and he has to stay alone in the space all night. Perhaps he is jealous to his sister sun, for she has the daylight and he only the cold and lonesome night?
- Interesting title. I could think about it for hours and find more and more reasons for the moon to cry. I am qite sure, that it is meant symbolic- of course…but I cannot imagine for what. I am very curious about what will be in the lyrics!
Aha, that’s how songwriting goes. One uses computers and electronic instruments for it, so that one can try the sound right there?! – at least the pictures look like that. Wow! Before I saw the pictures I had a much more romantic picture in my mind. Sitting with a sheet of paper and a pen under a tree, imagining what the words could say and the sound could sound…- how naive I was! – We’re definetely in the 21st century, right?!
Well then I wish you great ideas and a lot of fun and success!
yours,
Astrid

Hello again, Tarja!
It’s always amazing to read your posts! =)
I knew you had already begun to work in a new album, but I didn’t expect to read a song name so soon!
Antigua must be really inspiring. haha
“The Crying Moon” is such a beautiful, poetic and beautiful title for a song. I am sure we can expect an even more powerful album than My Winter Storm, since you’ve got so much inspiration and expierience recently.
Lucky you! I love Pirates Of The Caribbean, I wish I could see this sip personally! Also loved the last photo of this post, though there are other very beautiful pics too!
Love you!
July 2nd, 2008 at 7:01 pm

Hello there my angel!!!
As you see, wel we all hope that you see/read this… there are already suggestions about the album title
And I have made some up too!
I have made a list with titles…. hahaha! If you will have a contest I will definately send in mine…
There are also already a few suggestions about how the songs should sound. but I actually want the songs to sound as YOU would love them to sound! BUT we all can put our thoughts to it
You are a mystic, powerfull and strong woman so the music must sound mystic, powerfull and strong!!!
You should not be ashamed of the songs that you have written yourself!!! I know you can do it! I am sure that the strength is in you!!! these are your words, your lines, just YOU!!!
well, keep up the good work, TAKE YOUR TIME!!! don’t rush into things… well you know what to do!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
I am thinking about you and your new album everyday! you make us all so curious!!! how about posting a little video of the writing progress on your blog???
Best wishes to you my dear, all the best in life!!! With all the love I have in me..

The Crying Moon… it’s such an amazing title, it feels to sad but beautiful at the same time. There are already melodies floating in my head, can’t wait to hear what the song really will be like.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:45 pm
It looks like you’re having such a good time, even if it is “work”
I like the title “The Crying Moon” even though the only thing I can think of now is Epica’s song “Cry For The Moon”…Lol, I have no idea how it will sound, but I bet it will be good.
You look amazing btw.
Hope to hear from you soon
Dayle
xx
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:09 pm
Hi!
Looks like a nice place there, have fun!
Like Dayle already said the first thing I thought about was “Cry for the Moon” by Epica. But it sounds good
xox
July 2nd, 2008 at 11:50 pm
Hey Tarja ^^
“The Crying Moon” – sounds interesting! Sounds like a song that will have a lot of dynamics, or maybe very nice with a piano and all. But that’s just what comes up in my head
. I’m sure you’ll come up with a great album title. It’s like writing an essay, the best fitting title usually comes up in your head once you’ve finished it (yeah I know, what a comparison xD).
. I always wonder how people keep coming up with new songs; you have infinite possibilities to compose, but they have to be different from the rest. Ah well, I’m not a songwriter, so I don’t have to crack my brain over that
.
)!
It’s great that you think the songs are good, I’m curious
Have fun in Antigua (and I wish I had blue seawater like that over here
Take care and all the best ^-^,
Marlies

Album title: impossible to say…depends on the message you want to transmit but im sure you’ll come up with something
you’re the best anyway…

keep the piano songs like oasis, they’re great also…

The Crying Moon sounds auspicious I’am really looking forward to the first lines you’ll post. It sounds like a touching Ballad about the past, only presumptions
.

This lobg post is amazing!!! The title of the song “The Crying Moon” is beautiful!!! Maybe it has strong vocal lines and some funky riffs in it?

Hello Tarja,
I still remember the first time I heard your voice, not that long ago (2 years) and you hadn’t released my winter storm yet. It was just as if I had finally met a music and a voice that could really move me from the inside.
Your solo career is great, MWS is great. Oasis is like a dream, so calm, and yet, so sad and smooth at the same time, your voice in that song, it just makes me close my eyes and travel in another world. Really. And beliver me, I adore the other songs as well.
You are the first singer ever to make me feel so much with music. I don’t know for sure what will be the songs in your next album, but I completely trust in you, and I know I won’t be disappointed.
One last thing is: I’m French, and couldn’t see you in Paris, last december, I hope you’ll come back. I promise you that if needed, I’m ready to travel to London or Germany for you. One concert is all I need
(and a good timing for having a place also).
I wish you the best of all, and I just want to thank you for the emotions you bring to people. I have never met you, and probably never will, but you seem to be as nice as a person than as a singer, so, please, don’t trouble yourself with all the people who hurt you. They don’t deserve it.
I will keep reading your blog regularly. Thank you for sharing the creation process with us fans.
With love.
Lucie

I can’t wait to hear the new songs! New titles are always fun, and I’m trying my best to guess what “the crying moon” will sound like. It’s not easy – I guess it can go any way you want it to. But I’m so looking forward to hearing it.
You are an inspiration to all of us, hopefully you find some inspiration in us in return.

Moi Tarja
Thank you for your lovely blog post!!! I love all the pictures and I’m really impressed by the musicians you work with…
So, my suggestions for The Crying Moon are:
-PAIN-crying, this verb can be related to feeling a deep pain in your soul, it may be cause by material or non-material loss
-REINCARNATION-after crying each person and living creature feels his / hers soul better, free of the pain, so reincarnation may be a subtle idea of The Crying Moon, a new life that starts after the moon has stopped crying, an easier and happier era, more creative period
-HAPPINESS-but why should I always talk about pain? Can’t the Moon be crying because of happiness also? Why NOT? It is possible, crying from happiness is the emotion I adore most … this is such a deep luck to cry from happiness… and I should be honest and tell you that you, dear Tarja, have made me cry a lot of times from happiness while listening to your voice, watching an emotional video featuring you… and this is normal… you have such a bright aura, charisma, ENCHANTMENT which makes me happy and proud….
I am deeply proud oto be your FAN!!!
But I hope you’ll soon reveal some lyrics for us and we’ll be able to get more ideas
Best regards from me ,
Svetlana from Bulgaria

HELLO TARJA!!!
I’m waiting impatient for Your new album, because I love Your voice so much!!! And do not worry about titles, since whatever you will sing, it will be great!!! What is the most important, have fun while You are writing new songs, because this is the aim of music (not only for fans, for artists also should be) So write your own music without fear, you must be self-confident and optimistic, You are genius!!!
PS
In Poland, we hope that You will visit us soon, is it possible to do?
Best wishes

one you are with the boat, you look great!

Hei Tarja !
Just listen to your heart and the lyrics will come itself .
and i think fits you very well cause i enjoy this “spooky darkness” and mystic climate flowing from your songs wchich you was talking about. You know … when i understood and realized what is the song “Die alive” really about it’s became one of my life mottos and thank you for that
and this is what the new nightwish lost
That’s amazing to read your blog again.
What a great news about the writing process of the new songs. I just can’t wait to hear the result . I believe the new album will be as amazing as the last one or even better
Tittle “The Crying Moon” sounds very interesting
As someone wrote before : put a lot of opera and power couse this is in my opinion one of your biggest trumps that you can give to song so much energy and power doing this “A! A! A! ” parts
I hope you enyoing great time in Antigua and wish you all the best .
Best regards from Poland,
with love , Dagmara
kiitos

Moi Tarja!
Crying Moon kuulostaa ihan satumaisen ihanalta! Ihastuin siihen heti. Innolla odottelen tulevaa albumia. Oli hirveän kiva lukea taas kuulumisiasi! Ja Antigualla on todella kauniit maisemat… Toivottavasti tulevalla albumillasi on myös jokin sinun oma sävellyksesi. Oasis on nimittäin aivan ihana kappale… Kuten koko MWS.
July 5th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
hello Tarja
) and you could do again more this spoken parts like for example in elvenpath or nymphomaniac fantasia…well but this are my humble wild guesess :p
I’m writing again couse i was thinking a lot about the idea for the new song “The crying moon “. I think this is a good theme for the fantasy climate song… you know something like poems from romantic era of literature ( i am fascinated about Romanticism
July 5th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
Tarja, You are so beautiful! I’m Your new fan… Please, come to Poland again!
nice greets, have a great time in Antigua

Hey Tarja,
Thank you for posting these good news.
You seem really happy and relaxed on the pictures in Antigua.
There seems to be a good atmosphere there for the conception of your new songs.

No tällaistahan tämä Suomen kesä on: vähä lumista
Tapaamisiin keikalla…
Hevimamma

New photos are amazing! Can’t wait to see more:) I hope you are having Fun writing new songs, writing down your deepest thoughts.
You haven’t post anything here for a while, We missed you:(
About the title of the song, “The Crying Moon”. It sounds brilliant, I’m sure there’s much deeper meaning, but I’m guessing it has to do with the Island You’re on – Moon has to be very beutiful there.
Please post here some Lyrics, I would LOVE to read them!!
You are amazing singer, and person. Hopefully I’ll see you soon in U.S.A. – Chicago (PLEASE COMEEEEEE!!). I always dreamt to see you live.
Keep it up, and GOOD LUCK on writing new songs for your album!!!!!

It pleases to hear me, this it you well much fun goes and has you with the work for the new album. The title ” The Crying Moon ” sounds promising, we see become / hears….., it will determine a great song.

Hei rakas Tarja!
Pidä ittes naisena, “I need you to sing!”

Hello Tarja!
I didn’t know you were coming to South America!, however I’m a little bit disappointed because you’re not coming to Venezuela, I don’t know if you know, you probably do, but over here all your fans went through a lot of work to try and bring you here. We got signatures, contacted companies, well, we did a lot of stuff. After all the work, it seems it would be too much of a rush to come on this tour to Venezuela.
It’s really disappointing!. Apparently, you will continue your tour on this continent next year and you might come by that date…but it seems so far away…and it’s not a certain thing. PLEASE TARJA COME TO VENEZUELA!. We did a lot of work to try and bring you here…please, at least come sometime in the future. Please.
Looking forward to see you in concert sometime…as always.
July 15th, 2008 at 11:34 pm
Hey Tarja!
I hope you are fine. “The Crying Moon” sounds very interesting. It sounds like a great ballde. But maybe it could be a “killer song”…
I wish for your next album that there will be a very long and bombastic song, for example like Ghost Love Score. I like these songs with your “angel-voice”.
It’s fantastic to see you very happy in Antigua and to hear that the work on your new album has begun and that you write more songs by your own. Oasis has me very impressed and touched my heart deeply.
For the future I hope that you will be more in Germany… maybe you can give a concert in Dortmund… Then I will be there, too
Every day I listen to your magical and fascinating voice (since 4 years)
You’re the ANGEL OF MUSIC
You are an great inspiration for my songtexts, I write.
yours oliver

Tarja, you work in unusually beautiful place! Your picture with a bicycle such futuristic. You don`t wish it to sample for a cover of following CD? Other pictures also have very much pleased me. I very much like your face without a make-up.
If I have correctly understood, the song “The Crying Moon” is devoted great barbecue to Bird Island? To the moon has not got tasty slices. Moon teardrops are dew during time barbecue? Music in style “Ciarans well”.
Tarja, hint, please. About what there will be songs on a new disk?
I expect from you sometime a disk with your songs only.
July 17th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
Tarja, thank you for a concert to INCHEBA in BRATISLAVA, it makes me happy
I´d like take foto with you and me

Good Morning my lovely!
How are you doing today? I hope you have a good time in Antigua, or anywhere you are! I see that you are also planning new dates and places for the Storm Returns To Europe Tour!!! Are you focussing on the east of Europe? You have a lot of fans living there!!! I will see you in Belgium at the festival, but I am also hoping for a show in Holland again! Will you do the VIP again? It is really funny: I dreamt last night about you performing in the Heineken Music Hall! I was the first in line in front of the door but then my dream turned into a nightmare: I was not in the hall where you performed!! they send me the wrong way hahaha!
But anyways… Take your time while writing new songs! Tarja you CAN write your own songs! Don’t be shy hahaha! I know you have it in you!!!
Please if you have the time, please give us fans and lovers an update… I am hoping for some words of you saying that you are okay and that you feel good about everything!
for the rest… Good luck with everything! no mather what you do, I’ll always love you from the bottom of my heart!
With all the love I have in me..

Hi, all! After 2 hours wait I have two tickets for the concert in October here in Sofia! Yeah! See you there!
July 21st, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Dear Tarja,
On Friday I took a train from Mannheim to the direction of Karlsruhe and suddenly thought I was in Finland. The whole train was full of suomi speaking people! Really! It was so funny! And guess what: In Hockenheim all the people left the train. Of course! There’s the Formel 1 race in Germany this year and Räikkönen must have a lot of fans!
I enjoy your music every day! It is just wonderful!
I wish you to have the power, the passion and the success to produce and perform so much more beautiful music!
To sing with you (for fun) would be my biggest luck! (I already do it with the CD- I started with “boy and the ghost”, then went to practise”sing for me” until I discovered “Calling Grace” as my favourite (the only one I could sing without any difficulties in the height)- at the moment I am practising “the reign” but it is still a challenge…;) – It just makes me happy, that’s all)
All the best wishes, luck and love!- and a wonderful “Crying Moon”,
Astrid

Come back to Polen….
July 26th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
Hello Tarja,
“Crying moon” sounds very beautiful, but it reminds me of the Epica song “Cry for the moon”. Nevertheless I hope there come more heartbreaking ballads like “Minor heaven” or “Our great divide”.
I wish you a very inspiring summer.
Greetings
Lilith

Whereever you are, best wishes- and I keep my mental power rather to wish Tarja a magnificent inspiration for her next album- but a new blog also would be wonderful ;o)

Dearest Tarja,
HELP!!! I want to buy your cd My Winter Storm!!! and I can’t get it in ISRAEL!
I don’t have a dollar credit card, only an Israeli debt card. I tried to get your cd through Tower Records here in Israel, but its not in our system.
Can you help me?
I love your singing so much! I want it!!!
Also, on your next cd, can you put Sleeping Sun? I wonder how it would sound redone with your new band!
Great work young lady! Keep on singing, recording and writing!
God bless you Tarja,

“The crying moon” of course is not meant to have a negative touch. But Finnish winters are said to be long, cold, icy and dark. And to the opposite Argenina is expected to be warm and sunny. That were my thoughts. -Nothing negative, I love Suomi too! ;o)
Best wishes,
Astrid

Hey me and my friends have an idea for the album because we were talking and i said Tarja should sing with evanescance and they asked who you were because at school we listen to pandora.com because all of the good music sites are blocked anyway i said you were the old lead singer in nightwish and he said yeah they should sing a song to gaether and my girl friend said that it should include harriet Hagglund and i knew who it was but my other friend didnt and i said she is the lead singer of Passionworks and it gets complicated from there but why not record a song with them

Dear Tarja

Tarja is in Argentina right now.
And with one of the the worse person in this world in her home.
TARJA, this “RB man” is a devil dressed like an angel. DON’T TRUST IN HIM!!! Don’t let him enter in your home.
You once said that we – your fans – are your friends too. Like your friend I wish you only the BEST. So BE CAREFUL!!!
Ask Kiko Loureiro who this man really is!!! And please don’t trust in the “RB man” and his fake sympathy!!!
I wish you only happiness, little girl.
Stay true to yourself.
August 2nd, 2008 at 7:52 am
If Tarja is in Argentina it becomes me the happiest person in all the world !!!!! But how to know if it is true or if is only a rumor, anyway … Who is “RB man”, why he is so danger??
Mariël thanks for the news about the new song .
Tarja wherever you are please write soon just to tell Hey I’m ok very busy … bla bla …, in Argetina there is internet so it won’t be very difficult
hahaha
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Tarja, please, make a post! We miss you.
August 2nd, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Mr. RB is a con man. He f*cked up Angra (a brazilian metal band), and now the band is pawned and can’t release anything because the greed of this man.
Marcelo is crazy for let this man to approach Tarja.
*Ask any brazilian fan of heavy metal who he is. Everyboby knows about this thief.
If Tarja knew about what this man do, she don’t have called Kiko to play in this tour. Maybe in a European tour, but in South America NO.
I don’t know how Kiko can look to this man.
Tarja, be carefull with the people around you!!!!
Some “friends” don’t are what they seems to be. And you know who is the “RB man”.
Take care.

From the Tarja forum:
———
Right now the producers of brazillian tour are in FEAR about the situation, and some of then already think this tour will not be that successfull. Confused
Even they had lose money with this:
Blaze Bayley Site wrote:
—–
It has however since come to our attention that we would not have been able to continue as planned with this tour in any event (even if debbie had not been in this condition) due to the brazillian Tour agent.
“Claudio Giovanni ” working for “In Concert” company. has disappeared with all of the tour funds that were trusted to him from many promoters throughout the country, “open the road agency” have also been negatively affected from all of this.
Currently local authorities are in his pursuit and he is expected to be captured and charged with fraud shortly.
—–
(Yes, this is true. Tarja and Almah (band) are inclued in this. “Gio” was the promoter of her tour with Blaze and Almah.)
The promoters continue with Tarja’s tour, and they are working in promotion right now, but people things the shows are CANCELLED ‘coz there’s nothing in the official site. Confused
Is like rakeli said: We want to help but we really want to be helped to be able to help!
———
I’m worried about this situation, too. Apparently Tarja’s record company refuses to sponsor tours in UK and US for her, which is just plain stupid, because everyone, Tarja, her label, and her fans, would profit from these tours. They’re in everyone’s best interests. Also Tarja’s promotion team seems to be inefficient. Universal Music doesn’t even promote Tarja on their own website. Tarja’s website is updated sluggishly or not at all, both concerning concert dates and other appearances, such on TV.
From what I’ve gathered, Marcelo is trying to save money by letting people from his own company and circle of friends handle the promotion, website etc., instead of hiring external professionals. That’s a bad strategy, and it makes some of the criticism directed at him in the NW book appear valid. Please take it to heart, Marcelo! You just need to invest more money in Tarja’s promotion and career if you want her to be successful.
Kamelot was given as an example of a band who has a professional crew and promotion, and have grown tremendously because of it; you can immediately see concert dates once you enter their website and you don’t have to look for them.
August 2nd, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Well, now I’m a bit confused!
August 2nd, 2008 at 7:18 pm
Claudio Giovanni?
No, I don’t know who this man is.
The RB man (I’ll not say his name), is the Angra OWNER. The owners are not the musicians, but this man. He is the owner of a big magazine too, everybody know this man is not honest.
He stole the band, his own magazine (that is almost bankruped), not pay the salary of the musicians, and the band is about 1 year stopped. He pawned Angra, and never invested in the band. Even the site is not running ‘coz they don’t payed the host with this mess.
http://www.angra.net
The man that I’m talking about is surely with Tarja and Marcelo now, and I’m sure that no one told her what he did with some bands and why a lot of people HATE him.
Don’t be ingenuous, Tarja!!
So, Tarja, open your eyes for that people. They must seems ‘nice guys’, sympathyc, ‘friendly’, but when this kind of people give something, they want something in return.
August 5th, 2008 at 1:44 pm
Hello Tarja!
I want to say many-many tings to you but the only problem is, I can not speak ENGLISH! :’( I am a hungarian, my boyfriend is translating my sentences.
I am a fan of you, i think your voice is beautifle. I am sad because you are not singing in Nightwish any more… I wanted to be a friend of you, but this language problem makes this possible :’( I always wanted to meet you, but you are too far from here. You now: money, language, etc….
I am sad a little.
Be great, just like in Nightwish. Wish everything to be well.

I’m speechless!Stunned like from a thunder in front of my eyes!
You are so beautiful and amazing in these pics! I think you are the second woman that reply to my ideals for a woman. You combine the beauty of the tender sex, the passion of the opera, the spirit of the jungle and the smile of the sun! And these are my impressions only from the pics!
When I start to think about your songs I reach the phase, name of song or recognizing voice and my mind stops and I start to listen the song in my mind like you are singing in my head!
It’s so cool and it’s very impressive!
I can proudly say that I love to listen all of your songs with Nightwish and many of them are like a touch to MY SOUL and MY HEART. And each one of them is pushing my feelings out when I hear them!I listen your songs since 2002 and today I heard some of your new songs on this site and I loved them even they were just 10-20 sec long!BTW the site is incredibly obsessing and original! It lead you to another world!
What can I tell about your voice! My nickname is Titan(Zeus) and like a Titan I can only here the voices of the goddess! Sadly, the people can’t here them, but hopefully we have you and your goddess voice! I can’t describe it in better words!I adore it!
I hope to come again in Bulgaria! I missed you last year, but even you do not come again I’ll try somehow to come in other country!
All best!!!
Nikolay Ivanov, Bulgaria.
Smile
, feel(dance) and be real(flower)!
