Greetings just before the Final Storm!
Last weeks full of work and fun are happily over and I can relax a bit and enjoy the days before the “Final Storm Tour” is starting.
I have done some new Xmas recordings and filmed a video spot for it. I was very happy to perform in a Swedish Gala concert and my own Mäntyharju classical concert.
Everything went as expected or better!
The Christmas album, produced by Finnish famous Olli Ahvenlahti, is a charity project for missionary workers in Finland and it is going to be released in the beginning of November in Finland. I recorded 3 songs for the album and it was fun. Singing Xmas songs during summer time, was once again weird, but this time the studio was not prepared with Santa Claus pictures on the walls and I still managed without them 
The Swedish Gala concert was a funny and at the same time beautiful experience. It was broadcasted live so the rehearsals and preparations were intense. I needed to sing for the first time the song Myrskyluodon Maija; a song that every Finnish person knows. I hope I did honour it with my performance. I also performed The Reign, a song that I particularly love from my fist album. It was very touching to hear the great orchestra performing it. I am sure that I will do more concerts with orchestra in the near future.
I was just very delighted to receive an invitation for this important gala.
Mäntyharju concert went very fine as well and it was nice to see friends coming from really far to the amazingly beautiful church of Mäntyharju. I was very satisfied with the concert program and with the fact that I could perform some of my own compositions for the Finnish audience for the first time. People seemed to enjoy them. The hard work ended with success 
I have been also busy writing new songs for my forthcoming album. This time with Johnny Andrews. We wrote a song few months ago when I was in L.A. and now we did it again in Finland.
The biggest difference with MWS probably is that at that time, we recorded all the songs that I was happy with. And we had no leftovers! Everything went into the album, one way of another. But now, the feeling is a bit different. Having so much material to choose from is making things difficult… Is a new and nice challenge. Is quite hard to leave songs out of the album as all the songs have a special meaning to me.
While getting ready for a new tour, my thoughts are in the new album.
I want to thank everybody for the beautiful wishes, presents and surprises on my birthday. Many of you left regards in this blog or in the official forum in all the languages in my web page. I also received many lovely presents and saw lots of funny videos in you tube, so I am a very lucky girl to have such a great people like you supporting me on my journey in music and life.
And for all those that guess if I am really receiving the videos, presents and letters; yes I am. Even though the amount of them makes it barely impossible to answer you in person, be sure that I really enjoy them a lot.
Thank you all again! It is amazing to feel the love of you.

Its good to hear that you have so many songs to choose from! that’s a good problem to have.
Your performance at The Swedish Gala concert was absolutely wonderful! i can assure you that all the Finns i know have said that your performance of Myrskyluodon Maija made then proud to be Finnish. Personally, even though i am not Finnish and do not understand the language, i was touched by the emotion you showed during the performance.
i look forward to the new album!

And that Swedish Gala was great, we were able to see you live on an internet site and it was so great. And I had never heard Myrskyluodon Maija before but it is now one of my favorites, you should sing that again some time.

Ooohw i’m so looking forward to the Elf Fantasy Fair! It was 2007 that I saw you for the last time. A similair fair is in my town (why don’t you just go there instead of the other side of the country?! XD ) and it’s kind of funny, a friend and I went as pirate and princess but a lot of people are really serious about it, that makes it feel a little bit like you walk in another very peacefull world, though i won’t take my rubber sword with me this time because my mom goes as well. And we’ll sleep in a tent because everything is full

I always get stupidly happy when I see a new entry in this blog.
A Christmas album, huh? I’m anxious to hear the songs and see the video! Xmas is such a special time, and every year, I listen to Henk”ays Ikuisuudesta. This year will have some new additions, I’m happy!
Also, I’m glad to know that the classical concerts went fine, sounds like they were beautiful. Wish I had the chance to go to some of these someday, the videos of the swedish gala look and sound amazingly beautiful!
I guess everybody is anxious to hear your new songs, can’t wait for it! I imagine how hard it is to select songs for the album, but hey, the other ones can be released later one way or another.
I ask you please to update us during the recordings and all that, it was so nice with My Winter Storm… I mean, really nice, no words to describe how I was happy to read about the progressions of the album!
Well, now the Final Storm begins, and I’m sure it will be HUGE in every aspect.

More Christmas songs, I love them… though I could never find “Henkäys Ikuisuudestta” here in Brazil, I saw all the songs a lot in Youtube
I miss you every moment of my life and I really wanted to know if you would be coming back to Brazil soon.

Hello Tarja, firts of all i really enjoy(ed) the My Winter Storm album, although the cover from Poison wasn’t my favorite, perhaps to hear this song with an opera voice is something i have to get used to.
And now i am, like so are many others, on your new album “What Lies Beneath” and i have to admit i have high expectations.
But i do have 3 questions for you, first of all is: As an opera-singer, how was it for you personally to became a icon in the (Symphonic) Metal music?
And second, and in my opinion most important, How are you feeling?
Third question is, please please please, give more concerts in the Netherlands, you have more true fans here then you think?
See you at a forthcoming concert…..in my country.

I’m from Argentina.
The only thing that I can tell you right now is that I love you so much, your voice is extremely amazing and your music means the world to me, I’ve been to every show you did here in Buenos Aires since your first solo album. I loved each one of those shows at Obras, El Teatro and La Trastienda.

First of all, all the concerts were just great! I saw you in YouTube [of course I would be there if I can pay it!] and you’re awesome! You have perfect legs! haha That’s what I noticed when you were wearing that beautiful red dress! I always said that your colour it is red! ;3
Aaahh and in the church I knew that you sang Montañas de Silencio, the spanish song you’ll be performing in What Lies Beneath! Isn’t? But I didn’t hear it complete [yet!] but I’m sure it’ll be just beautiful!
I just can’t wait!

Dear DEAR Amazing Tarja!!!
Thank you SO much for the wonderful show you gave us last night!
I cannot even tell you how I felt when I saw you walking on the stage!
I have waited for quite a long time to be able to see you and it was like a dream when I finally did.
I had been already standing there for about 4 hours to be able to stand in the front row ;p ( I was the girl with the black and golden corset and the black hair, right in front of you next to the Welcome Back sign)
You have been an inspiration to me for so long, not only with your incredible voice and music, but also as an inspiration for strength.
You are just such an amazingly strong and beautiful person and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the person you are.
At times when it was rough for me, it was your music and voice that helped me through my darkest times and made me believe in hope again.
I can say that in a way, you saved me many times.
And I thank you for that.
I hope you enjoyed yesterday night as much as we (the fans) did.
But it sure looked like you had a great time up there!
You were so full of energy and so so kind to us, also when you said we were beautiful =)
Well, you were stunningly beautiful as well!!!
I also wanted to say thanks for doing ‘Deep Silent Complete’ for the first time in so long.
It was one of those songs I feared I would never hear in the beautiful way you sang it anymore live.
And I can tell you that I nearly cried, but I was too exited to see you to cry at that moment, but I did cry later at home thinking back.
Again I say THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving me the best evening of my life so far, you truly make it worth everything when you enter the stage!!!
All of my expectations were greatly exeeded and you were just perfect!.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your time and patience and love, yesterday! The Elf Fantasy Fair and Bremen shows were so amazing! Yesterday at our drive back home I was crying, but only tears of joy!!! I have missed you so much! It was great to share those fantastic moments again!
