Hi from Kuusankoski!
Before returning back to Finland, I was in the studio in Buenos Aires recording the song “Enough” and two other songs.
Singing “Enough” was fun for me, because I had already sang the song many times on tour. Still the recording process is very different than singing live.
It was very hard to reach the same feeling in the studio that I had during the shows, because I didn’t have the screaming, lovely and supporting audience anymore in front of me 
Anyway, I really like how the song kicks ass! My voice sounds again pretty different than before and even for me it is interesting to realize how I am more free with my singing every day.
One other song that I recorded is the gorgeous “Wisdom of Wind”.
There is a story about this particular song that I would like to share with you. Some time ago I was invited by composers Jeff Rona and Lisa Gerrard to sing their song for Peking’s 2008 Olympic Regatta, but due to tight schedules, I was not able to record it in time. I liked the song so much that I wanted still to use it for my own album. So I recorded it now. It is a wonderful, moody song with symphonic orchestra. I hope you’ll like it.
It is an honour for me to sing a song from Jeff and Lisa!
Also I recorded a duet for Doro’s 25th anniversary album. It is a beautiful ballad. I hope she likes what I did! Hehe. Sometimes I get a bit too productive with my vocals…but it’s fun. I am looking forward to present the song with her in her concert in Düsseldorf later this year. I was very happy to receive an invitation to the show, which must be very important to Doro and to her great, long career in music.
I was having good time with my fans in the “press conference” we did together in Buenos Aires. I had already done few signing sessions in Buenos Aires earlier so this time I wanted to do something different with my fans.
The mood was cool during the conference and in the end the people didn’t ask me too many questions, even though I was prepared to answer for much more! And I did some signing and photos after the conference.
There are not so many days left before my next European tour starts. Time is flying! I am really anxious to perform again in Metal Female Voices Festival and in many countries that I have never been before. Not even as a tourist! For example countries like Israel, Luxemburg, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Funny today an Israeli journalist mentioned during his interview that rumours were that I have been afraid to go to Israel to perform in the past…
I could only laugh to that rumour 
After receiving several invitations to perform in Israel, luckily, this time was possible to arrange it! And I am going to spend even some days off there with my band and crew. That’s how scared we are
So people, if I should have one drop per each wrong and malicious information spread about me, I wouldn’t need to go that far to dive…
Facts speak stronger than words.
I am really looking forward to get to know my fans in those countries. Thank you for making this tour to happen.

…But does anyone here realize what Tarja said?!? Tarja and Lisa Gerrard. Tarja and Lisa Gerrard. I mean, Tarja and Lisa Gerrard!!! Ok, i must calm down a bit. TARJA AND LISA GERRARD!!! Even though it isn’t a duet (i don’t think i would’ve survived;)), the mere fact that the Unreachable Lisa invited our beloved Tarja to sing one of her composition is just as thrilling as… “the discovery of lust”, i daresay! Wake up people! Lisa Gerrard, ex-member of Dead Can Dance, maybe the best band ever in their genre, and a voice that surely is the sound Lucifer made when fell from heaven. Go on youtube and search for her live performance of Sacrifice with Pieter Bourke. I often thought that if someday i got to hear tarja sing that i’d die without any doubts!
Apart from all this excitement of mine, MANY CONGRATULATIONS TARJA for this new big achievement! I c-a-n-’-t fucking wait to hear this aria.

Hi, and thank you for your posts, they are always very interesting. I love rock/metal with symphonic orchestras too. It’s an ideal mix, not only to emphasize but also to add melodies. Some people may be interested by other albums with this concept :
-Metallica S&M (with the San Francisco symphonic) is good (2 disc-album)
-”Reborn” from the Northern Kings (featuring Marco Hietala and other great northern singers) is good too. It’s covers of unforgettable songs from the 80s(in the air tonight/hello/sledgehammer…)
-The orchestral (unsung) version of Dark Passion Play (i really can’t stand when anettes tries to sing high notes, sorry)

Hola Tarja!! … today something that you wrote came to mi mind while I was studying … suddenly I found myself thinking about you, the concert, the conference and the sentence where you said:

So I decided to make a break and write in your blog just to say that We’re always there with you screaming and singing and supporting you, that is why you said that we are your winter storm or summer depending on the continent hehehe
, but the point is that when you need us you just have to think that somewhere else someone is listening to your music, singing in a fictitious duet with the cd, or simply thinking about you … I’m very sure about it !

Finally I have listened to your gift – your album on a vinyl record. If it were not you and your gift I would never tasted what is a real vinyl sound. Ok, it’s good to finally get that out of my system. I really hope you’ll be doing a tour in South East Asia. I personally am still in shock about the whole thing with you not being in Nightwish anymore (you have to understand, Nightwish was food for my soul, and you not being in it makes Nightwish like food without salt), and would love to hear you live. That would be like a blessing upon my soul.
You have no idea how glad I am that you didn’t drop out of the music scene. What would I do without your heavenly voice? Personally I think that the new singer of Nightwish (Anette) is a nice girl but she is incomparable to you. I still love Nightwish, but I don’t listen to any of the new songs. I just can’t bring myself to do that.
Please do come to Singapore. There’s a stage that’s built on the sea itself… I’ve pictured you performing on it many times. It’s called the Marina Bay Floating Stadium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marina_Bay_Floating_Stadium) I’m sure you’d like it too. =) I hope to see you there, my girlfriend and I would sell everything to see you hehe.

thanks for making me so happy! After your concert in Luxembourg I was so full of happiness that I had the impression to fly the way home! All the night I was hovering some metres over the floor for I had seen you and the band and you were so wonderful! KIITOS!!!!!
I loved how your voice worked and I liked the way you treated your fans with such a kindness and warmth! And I also enjoyed the great work together of your musicians. You really impressed me how you all cooperated, communicated, gave power and seemed to have really fun on stage.
I know the Luxembourgian audience came slowly but then we came powerful -and imagine it all were you who let the hall rock and burn! You know, we were waiting for hours in the freezing cold in front of the hall and after that another hour for the concert, so we needed a bit time to warm up until we came to our hight. But then we just exploded. You made us this. And you made me feel to burst of happines. THANK YOU! You were soooo magnificent!
I wish you to have wonderful experiences on your European and Israelian tour!

i saw the performance of “enough” in ostrava too and all i have to say is that you were a-m-a-z-i-n-g!! a walking dynamite!!! but i am always worried when you don’t smile! so i was scared if something bad happened to you and you expressed your feelings at the concert or you were so powerful because of the song’s needs. i want to see you all the time happy so i’ll be happy too!!!
