Hi!
Last few days I have been running and running. From Berlin to London and now back in Helsinki. But only for a while before going to Madrid…
Is a nice way of keeping yourself active!
I love to see the reaction of the first people that were able to listen to some songs of My Winter Storm. Fans and journalists seems to be … surprised 
We are finalizing in the following days the beautiful album artwork with Dirk.
In the meantime, Mel Wesson, Chris Vrenna and In Extremo did very interesting remixes of I Walk Alone. All very different from each other. You will find theses versions in the different configurations of I Walk Alone single.
Thanks a lot to them for giving us their vision of the song. Is fun for me to see how a song can change so much in experienced hands!
Now the record company is working every day in the promotion and marketing campaigns that will follow.
I hope I will be able to announce some surprises for South America and USA very soon 
In between flights and interviews I have decided already all the songs that will be included in the set list of the forthcoming Warm Up Concerts. The band has received the songs already and we will start rehearsing very soon. Back to the road!
Heidi is once again with me preparing my make up and in 10’ I’ll have the first interview and photos of the day… See you.

I do hope Romania will be featured in the warm up concert list…there are so many fans who would love to see you and I’m just dying to hear your beautiful voice live! If not in the warm up tour, then I do hope next year.

Oh Tarja “I Walk Alone” es una canción muy bella y el video esta muy bueno… Espero que consideres lanzar su disco aca en Chile, que se que muchos esperan esto para poder comprarlo y tener su obra maestra en nuestras manos… Espero pronto poder escuchar “Ciarán’s Well” y “The Reign” que se que serán igual de buenas que “I Walk Alone”.

It is simply AMAZING the way you’ve put the whole thing together. I can’t possibly imagine all the work behind it, but absolute respect and neverending gratitude from the bottom of my heart. The tune’s beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, the song as a whole is beautiful, you’re even more beautiful than ever before… and yes, I’m outta breath.
I’ll definitely head to the stores first thing in the morning the single & the album is released. I hope if you go on a tour, I can get to one of the concerts as well, but that’s too far in the future yet, I guess, so til then…
ROCK ON!!!
Oh, and take a rest too. You deserve just sitting back and reading all these replies from overjoyed fans here.

lord, I couldn’t imagine what I’d miss in the last week when I had no internet. the page here is great. When I listened to “I walk alone” for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it. “the reign” is a great, beautiful song, a perfect ballad for my taste. but i want to be honest, I don’t like “ciarán’s well” very much, I don’t know why, but I can’t feel any connection to that song as I usually do. but maybe this will change when I hear it in the context of the whole album. I’m curious. but what I heard yet is promising a great album, I’m totally excited. love you for all that.

Hello Tarja, the songs are… hmmm I don’t know how to say it, words are too poor. I’ll just tell you that they don’t let me breath and they keep me in trance. Ciaran’s Well is very heavy, I can’t wait to hear it live, it’s a great song for headbanging

oh my sweet god….that’s surprising, amazing. Tarja you did great job!!! I love the song ‘Iwalk alone’ it’s very catchy. And ‘The Reign”….I’m speechless.
I can’t wait the album release!! It’s really really great masterpiece.
However, there’s something missing. I don’t know what’s this. Maybe I got used to Tuomas’s way of composing too much, I don’t know, but in music there’s some kind of depth missing. And, to be fair and honest, Nightwish lack your wonderful voice.

I’m so astonished, more: petrified by the fabulous work you’ve done with IWA, Ciarán’s well (also pronouncing the right, real “c” as “k”) and The Reign that I’m without words. Maybe I’m a bit too partial. How can I be a good journalist, if I ever get to be it, with all these mixed feelings?!? It’s all your fault!
Talking seriously, there’s so less to criticize (in a good, objective way I mean) until now that I can’t help but let myself be amazed. The fact is, when will you stop amazing us? Guess and hope never…
I’d sell an arm to already have the whole album and my family to get to one of your concerts (italyyyyyy, please!), an intention increased by the news that you’ll play the whole album. But maybe it’s better a concert with also other stuff, isn’t it? So wait Disgraced, wait…
As for you, I recommend you to walk your road with simplicity, humility and the good feeling you always transferred to us with your singing, without letting anyone set you down.

I have to say that I really like the songs. Ciran’s Well reminds me of something of Once… like maybe Romanticide or Dead Gardens… but it’s very different.
The Reign made me cry… not because it’s sad, but because it’s so beautiful.
You should definitely have an instrumental version somewhere… maybe on another single?

First of all, let me tell you that mws photos are amazing!, you look so gorgeous! I love them!
As for the songs, I was completely freak out, I didn’t know what to expect. I was surprised about “Ciaran’s well”, I didn’t thought it was going to be that heavy!.
And “the reign”, which is my favorite of them, I just think is amazing, great lyric and your beautiful voice made me smile when I heard it.
What you mean with “surprises for south America?. Are you planning to do a signing session?
Please let us know in advance, so that way I can go, cause I live in Rosario (Santa Fe, Argentina), and I have to travel.

Can’t wait for the single to be released.Can’t wait to preorder the 2 versions of it on the first day that they will become available. I liked the 2 free downloads so i am sure for what about to expect from new Tarja’s album. It will be great. Hope to add at least one show in London for the warm up tour(Mike Terrana on the drums???What a surprise). It would be fantastic to see her live for the first time solo.

Hi! just wanna say I was a little worried that i wouldn’t like the new album (not a insult, i do that to EVERYTHING) but really, I LOVE it so far! I got some pretty weird looks at school yesterday when I was humming it the whole day.
PLEASE tell me that it will be availbe in stores in the USA? Because if its from Universal, it should, right? I live in Maryland and don’t think my mom would be too happy if I was buying stuff from Finland. Please, make it so I can buy it here.

Have just viewed the new single and video. It is amazing, absolutely beautiful. Have also just listened to the new Nightwish Album, they have lost the plot!!! All groups hit a peak in their musical careers, and Nightwish hit theirs with the Once album. Am album that gave your voice the power and the tremendous vocal range that made it a top selling album. The best thing you did was to leave them. Their new album lacks direction, lacks vocal power and direction. If your new album is as good as the single, you will wipe the smile of Tuomos’s face. Its about time he realised Nightwish was you, Tarja.

I loved your voice so much in NW (the music and your singing style were complementing each other in a unique way) so I was curious to see how you would negociate this big turn in your career.
Congratulations. I think you have succeeded!.
I am very enthusiastic about the new songs from MWS. The music is in the spirit of NW, yet different and definitely of quality. I was surprised and happy to see that you had not gone too “soft”, Ciaran’s rocks! (I just find the singing a bit “detached” from the melody when listening to it for the first time if you can understand what I mean…).
Operatic singing with modern, heavy yet melodic songs is just so original. I believe it makes you a very unique singer…
Luckily, I will leave Australia to visit my family in the east of France for Xmas, so see you in Zurich!

It´s great that your album is ready and you are about to start touring. This must be wonderful time for you and I hope you´ll enjoy yourself and have awesome concerts =) . You are a great artist and I`m so looking forward to your cd!!
There´s also something I´m disappointed about, unfortunately. I downloaded two of your songs and I was sad to realise you are speaking on those tracks over the song. I would have rather listened your beautiful singing voice (I hope that´s the correct term) and your new song…
By the way, it has been great to read from Finnish media that you are (also) looking forward to have the new cd of Nightwish. I think that shows to everyone and especially to Tuomas and other members of Nightwish that you have moved on but you haven´t forgotten your past. In my opinion that´s very good! It was sad to read about your fireing from Nightwish two years ago but now I´m glad to see that you have moved on and so have they.
I wish the best luck for you, Tarja! I hope I´ll be able to be in one of your concerts in Finland!

Honestly, when you leave Nightwish, I thought that you will follow a nice solist career…but I never thought that you will be so great! He visto mi comentario como “anonimo”, no se como identificarme en la pagina. Me llamo Carmen, vivo en Madrid y soy fan de Nightwish desde que vi el video Over de hills and far away en TV, hace varios años. Yo no sabia que grupo cantaba esa version de la cancion de Gary Moore, pero me dejo absolutamente fascinada la voz de la cantante, y comence a investigar. Me dijeron que podria ser un grupo llamado Evanescence, pero yo sabia que no, porque la voz no tenia nada que ver. Finalmente di con el nombre del grupo, Nightwish, leia noticias en la web y compre varios cds, creo que tengo todos. Los grupos de rock gotico suenan todos igual, lo que hace especial a este es la voz de Tarja, sin desmerecer las canciones compuestas por Tuomas, por supuesto. Llevo dos años estudiando canto lirico, y cuando me preguntan ¿cual es tu cantate favorita? Tarja Turunen, es mi respuesta siempre.

do you really mean that Tarja doesn’t care about her funs but only about money??.. let me tell you something.. I am from Argentina… I met tarja fifth times already and she gave two signing seccions for free, FOR FREE, WE DIDN’T HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING AT ALL. In the second signing seccion, only 300 were supposed to get to know tarja, only 300!.. but we were like 1000!… and u know what tarja did? she waited for every single one of us and kissed us, embraced us and everything!.. Tarja, you are yet tired from such intensive participation in promotion? I have a sensation, that after SUCH promotion, about «MWS» will know and in the most remote African villages. How many platinum disks you expect to receive? If you dream to decorate with ALL of them premises in 2 houses, I hope, disks will be enough.
Tarja, «the-reign» – magnificent soundtrack, as you wanted. But it much more, than film music! «The reign» for me is a dream in reality. Only it quickly comes to an end, and I would like it to listen longer. And it is even better to listen and see simultaneously. But you so have not enough time for video shootings. Video «IWA» very eloquent (probably, for everyone on the) and well corresponds to music.

I have bought Dark Passion Play, too and I have to say that I like it. Anette´s voice is great and it fits on the songs in DPP. I can´t imagine Tarja singing them because they are somehow a little different from previous Nightwish cds. But I do like DPP. I guess it´s quite obvious that I love both Tarja´s and Nightwish´s music, together and apart. I hope you understand what I mean.

Hi Tarja;
I’ve just seen the video for, “I Walk Alone”, on MWS.com and I love it !
The track did take two listens to get into, but yea as I’ve said I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The verse sounds so fairy tail like with the arpeggio keyboard riff, it also reminds me of the sound that is used on perfume adverts like ,”Chanel no 5″, at christmas time when they want to create a magical atmosphere. It also sounds like something from a Tim Burton movie. So your film sound track feel that you wanted to create is deffinately coming across.
The chorus though is superb with the full orchestra behind your wonderful vocal, very powerful, very sensitive, and as a great chorus should be very catchy !
If this is how the rest of the album is going to be then it is going to be wonderful.
There is a NW feel to the song and production, not overpowering but definately there. I’m not sure whether this is a good thing or not, but it’s to be expected I guess after all the years you were with them.
The video is excellent, again very fairy tale like, and fits the song perfectly.
You look wonderful as the characters, the main ,”Ice Queen”, character is my favourite. The doll reminds me of Agnetha Faltskog in her, “Marionette”,costume that she wore live with Abba.
Anyway, I can’t wait for the release day of the album, I am so eagre to hear it.

I’ve just heard,”Cieran’s Well”,and,”The Reign”.
I’m not a metaller so I’m not so keen on,”Cieran’s Well”, but ,”The Reign”, is hauntingly and achingly beautiful.
Everything about the track from your gorgeous vocals to the wonderful orchestral backing is perfection.
It is definately one of those songs that you record that touches the soul deeply and profoundly, bringing tears of pure joy.
Truely wonderful.
So that is now two out of three of the tracks that I’ve heard from the album that I adore. Please say that the rest of the album is going to be as wonderful !
