Writing from home
I thought it would be a good thing to let you know about my future plans.
I have been concentrating in the last touches of My Winter Storm Special Extended Edition.
A couple of days ago we finished the mixing of the song “Wisdom of Wind” in Helsinki with Jetro.
The song sounds really nice and relaxing now.
It still has a Chinese mood being a song specially composed by Jeff and Lisa for the Beijing Olympics Regatta. Unfortunately their invitation for me to record the song at that time came too late 
But I am happy that I can use the song now in my own album and to have this great opportunity to do collaboration with Lisa and Jeff.
Also today I received ambient sounds that Mel created for the song “Enough”. I was blown away again. The man is so good in creating atmospheres and adding a touch of quality!
Is very challenging for me to do two songs that are so radically different for this special version of the album. I did enjoy a lot with both. And is a great training to start preparing the new album…
At the moment Maria is visiting us here in Kuusankoski. We were writing a song together, but also we had time to have fun with the snow. Finland received a lot of snow in the last days, so we needed to get out and enjoy a bit of it.
In few days I will have two Xmas concerts in Helsinki and Tampere and immediately after I will be travelling to Sweden to meet my old composer friends. We are going to work together some days in composing new songs for the forthcoming album of mine.
After Sweden, I’ll be in Germany continuing the same work with Alex and I will visit Doro at her Anniversary concert!
When this is all over, it will be time to have finally a little rest together with my family and enjoy a lovely Christmas time.
I just happen to be very delighted of an offer I received some time ago from a Polish film company to score 3 movies! It will be a trilogy. We are discussing about the co-operation now and I hope you’ll be able to hear the very first soundtrack of mine soon…
In the beginning of next year, I’ll be travelling around the globe finishing the songs for my new album and the pre-production should start (if everything goes fine) already in February.
So not long from now we will be having a NEW album in our hands!!!!!!!!!!!!
As done before, I’ll be sending you information how the album recordings are progressing and with whom I’ll be working this time 
By the way, the album title has been already decided and once again it is the starting point for the stories in the songs.
Anyway, you will need to wait a bit longer to hear the name

Hello Tarja, it’s so nice to know that your band and you are composing together. it must be a pleasure for you to spend such time with your friends creating new songs for us.
well, about the scores I have no words girl. I really hope it’s going to be a worldwide realease, so we from south america can also watch and listen to it. Also hope it’s going to be another great work from you, I wish u a creative process, no luck because you don’t need it. you’re talented, believe it!

with all these things you write you make me want to see you immediately and learn everything about your thoughts for the new album. the word “patience” is unknown to me! too much snow in finland. here in athens the previous days were cold enough but today it’s too hot for november. i hate our weather. i want some snow and don’t go at school for a couple of days! last night i dreamt of you (seriously). i saw that you made a concert here again and i was so close at the stage. i want to live this day more than ever. unbeliavable that it’s been a year since MWS release and the first concerts.
take some rest after your concerts and preparations for the new album near the xmas tree with some hot chocolate!!!

Such great and breathtaken news! I had the pleasure to being in your presence at three times in Brazil and I must say was amazing even indescribable in words what I felt in every single time.
I hope the polish moving company starts to think about a “World Wide Distribution”, I am already curious… I am a freaky movies fan and Triology when they are well done it’s almost a Climax process combined with a catatonic state..

I read about the fanclub news! I want to have a Dutch fanclub but I don’t know how to make a nice website! My boyfriend makes my websites…. At the moment he is working on one right now… If I just had the TIME and the KNOW-HOW I would definately make one for a Dutch fanclub. But maybe there will be one soon!!! I have some great ideas though!

Oh dear, a film-soundtrack! I am veeery happy for you and keep my fingers crossed (in Germany we’d rather say I hold my thumbs pressed) that all works well with this.
I am already really very curious about what stories you will tell in your next album. I love this story-telling through songs you do!!
What I do not really understand is why there is this strange special edition of MWS- well your real fans already have a version of this. And OF COURSE we do love “Enough” very much and will very likely also like the other song. For this we want to HAVE this new album. But well, the fact is, most of the songs are already in our shelf, you see? Why pay twice for the nearly same thing? Why not one or two singles? – Well, I know – “money makes the world go ’round”. O.K. Well – I love “Enough” so I’ll have to buy it…
– Isn’t that how economy works…
So you have to travel for to work with different people?! Wow, this sounds interesting- but also very time-drinking. So I asume you do not have just one studio to do all your recordings. It must be exhausting, but sure also horizon-widening to travel through the whole world and meet -and work with so many different people. I wish you all the best for your new album and am very looking forward to it. Great that you are so fast with it!

Tarja.. Your appearance in Moscow was so awaited. You entered on the scene as a Queen, so majestic and lovely at the same time! Just before you appeared on the scene I had felt a strong pulsation in my finger tips. It was a great feeling to see you so close again.
Tell – why have you cut the “Minor heaven”? I prepared to listen to the most beautiful part of the one of my favorite songs, and … pause… transition to another track… Did the time-frame really be an issue?
By the way – do you know, how the audience called you to the scene? They yelled “Ta-rja! Ta-rja! Sne-gu-ro-chka! Sne-gu-ro-chka!” “Snegurochka” is a Snow Maiden in Russian
(don’t mix up with the Snow Queen, completely different)
Well, Russian people loves you so much, that it seemed quite impossible to find a moment to see you after the concert
But with a piece of fortune I’ve succeded, as you remember 
As far as I heard today, one man (from the Moscow VIP-group) have found you even in Tampere tonight. Well, the next time you should move the soundcheck a little bit northerly… Somewhere near the North Pole will be OK… and better under 20-30 m of ice underwater… But even there I’m afraid you can see one day the russian fan in an aqualung, waving you: “hi, Tarja, from the Guild of Crazy Divers! Come to join us!”

Well, returning to serious things… Thank you for all the information about your plans. Somebody could say, that you have too much activities crowded in for the next year. I would say you are doing all right. Actually, people don’t mention Tarja as the “singer-among-the-others”. They got used Tarja Turunen is the
a) first,
b) the best,
c) all others are the clones.
I asked my 23-year sister’s girlfriends “What do you know about ex-Nightwish Tarja Turunen”? They answered shortly – “The Queen and the only”
But how many clones of your Nightwish image appears now! Incredible. I could count for example on the quantity appropriate band-requests even to my small MySpace profile… And occurs with a not bad vocal and melody!
And in 2009 the audience waits for Tarja Turunen with new ideas… And do they think if Tarja Turunen has enough time to relax, to play snowballs, to spend a time to her family?..
I haven’t heard the analogues of YouWinterStorm yet, but… they’re working on it, I’m afraid
Doro is a great show-woman& rock singer, and at the same time I think you participation in her show will be a great support for she.
Very interesting to know the name of new album and the story. Music, of course, later…

I just listened to your interview how the Turunens celebrate christmas. Must really be very comfortable and cosy. I really would love to know how it comes that all three Turunen-kids are doing in music, for their parents- as far as I know- are doing non-music- jobs? – Well, maybe it was this traditional christmas-singing event that made you Turunen-kids love music so much that you all wanted to live passionately for it.
No matter how it happened that you’re are all three such wonderful musicians. I am happy that this happened and I love your music!!!!

Since I’ve seen you in Metal Zone Aalst (signing session on 15/10/2008) and at the MFVF VI I’ve been missing you like somehow! Really! I’m looking at the DVD of End of an Era, From wishes to eternity and you Winterstorm warm-upconcert like for days! I really can’t get enough of your beautiful voice! You look so familiar! It’s like I even know how you’re pronouncing some words in your own special way! You’re really the best EVER! I made a paper for you with a picture of us two on it and a text, I hope the guy of the security gave it to you on MFVF, since I didn’t have backstage-passes :’(

It made me so happy to see you! I had the pleasure to have a seat which gave me the opportunity to look in the backstage area. So I could see you waiting for your appearence on stage. For it was very dark I recognized you first at Marcelos curls. And then I saw you
You were great and Doro was really also very sweeet for she seemed so happy and smiled all the time. It was great that you really sang together and watched at each other during this. Some artist just do their thing one this one that without being really together. But you were and that was wonderful !

this day is special not because it’s my birthday but because one year ago this time i had you in front of me singing!!! unbelievable that it’s been exactely a year since that amazing concert in athens!!! you were like a fake doll to me. i just couldn’t believe it was you!!! 6 months before the concert i was upset because i believed i would never see you! i thank god every single day that this changed! i miss that day a lot!! i hope that i will see you one day. i don’t care if that’s going to happen in 5 years, but i want to see you live on stage singing for my country!

How are you doing this morning? I hope you had a good sleep. I made you a christmas present, but I don’t know where to send it to… And hereby I would like to thank you for our little moment last saturday. (You know what, and where I mean…) I am very grateful for it. And I hope you liked it too.
I will be happy to hear some news of you soon, via this blog or via your websites. But I know that our dear Tarja is a very busy woman… I hope you can rest too! I hope you had a good time with Doro. I was standin in front, along with the “runway” on your right. but that was until Arch enemy played. then we left because there were too many pusing…
we could not breath anymore… but I was there for you and I saw your performances with Doro together. I love both songs very much! But after those too we left to go back home… (just above Amsterdam). I know you came all the way from Finland and Finland is further away… but for us… Amsterdam is too hahaha!
But never too far away to see or just hear you sing, my love!!! I wanted to go to Finland this year for the christmas show… but I’ll go next year!!! Promise. I hope that your crew and your promotors can manage for you to come to Holland back soon again. I know that you want to come, but you are not the one who can arrange it alone. Here is a guide to New Year’s Eve Turunen Finish PRALINES:
You’ll need: chocolate Nicholas, a bottle of Finland vodka, Finnish and Argentine flag ( Finnish is with a cross and Argentine with a sun), cherry, Tarja’s image, a stick, duct tape.
1) Cut off the head of chocolate Nicholas
2) pour into it as much of Finnish vodka how much there fits
3) into the cherry thrust flags (on the right Finnish, no the left Argentine), dive into Nicholas, so that flags watched
4) Taking a stick, duct tape and stisk on the tarja’s picture and dive into Nicholas, so that Tarja’s image watched
5 clink ”glases” with pertner, friend or family and consume….:D

Dear Tarja,
I’ve heard you’re writing a soungtrack for polish film! It’s really great! I wish you will show the whole your masterpiece there! And I suppose that your new album will turn out also very great. I have huge expectations about it. Because your own compositions is much more better and deeper than others. And I expect that at later conserts you will perform only YOUR songs, not from your past. I know, great number of people haven’t heard live nightwish songs (like me) before your perform of them. But this is not only your past, it is Holopainen’s songs, and I don’t clearly understand why did you sing Dead Gardens.. I suppose, it is better to leave that little number for shows like Passion And The Opera, that’s it what I like most for your show. It’s only my opinion! And of course I wish you big creativity!
I would like to wish you happy christmas time, much health, no voice proplems anymore, to see your family and visit Kitee more time, happiness with husband as allways and right decisions in all aspects of your life. Just right and clewer ones. Be yourself!

I know this may be a little off the subject, and belated, because I live in the states. Nightwish, nor you ever really toured here. I actually found it all quite by accident. I however have seen a poor quality partial video of Noche Escandinava. Do you have any plans to release an opera dvd or cd?
I can’t seem to find any Noche Escandinava cd or dvd, either their never was anything released, or their no longer available.
I’ve already heard some of your songs on “My Winter Storm”, and I intend on picking that up in the next couple of weeks. Although I was completly blown away when I watched the “She Is My Sin” live video, which was from “From Wishes To Eternity”. I’ve already ordered just about everything for NW. Especially the dvd’s. Live, your vocal talent is astounding. If “My Winter Storm” Doesn’t have any pure opera songs on it, I do hope you release something of that nature. Your voice is beautiful even by itself or with just a piano, and it doesn’t matter what language your singing in. At least in my opinion.

Wish you or your agent would seriously look into playing here in the Philadelphia area. There are two wonderful venues here. The first is The Keswick Theater in Glenside PA. The other is Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. Musikfest occurs the first two weeks of August. It would be great to see you and your band there. The Keswick is a more intimate theater, and has more flexible scheduling. We would love to see you and the band locally.

I don’t think it’s necessary to tell you all about how much I love you as a person and the music you make, I think yu already know that we all do:D
It’s weird to me and I can’t imagine how it must feel to you, how I and all other fans can say that you’re a great person and blablabla without even knowing you!! I mean, we can read fa’s and so on at the Internett, and I guess many fans think they know everything about you!! We’re so hungry for new information about you that we take all we can, like interviews and things like that. you seem to be busy right now to produce your new album. I wish you the very best with it! Hope you had also the time to enjoy a big rest from all the touring of last year.Some blogs higher a person wrote that she/he would wish to get a live dvd of your concerts. This would be really great!!! Would this be possible for you to produce one? You did so much great touring so maybe there once was someone to record it?
Am I right if I guess that you like electronic sounds? Well, in my opinion your voice is so beautiful that it sounds best if one can listen to it purely. It is so beautiful that it does not need any electronic effects. But well, I trust you and hope that the songs of your new album will be real kick-ass songs! Your first album was very great so your second one will be even greater!!!

What I think it is the thing with Nightwish:
there never existed any more beautiful music on this planet than Tarja with NW.
BUT: Now as an solo artist I assume that what she does is not only also very wonderful- the thing ist that it is really hers. It is HER music, her words, her feelings that she can transport now to the audience. It is her baby. She does not need any more to ask anyone if she can do a song in the way she wants- for she ist the boss. She even started to write music herself. Now she can feel that the fame and cheering she gets for the music she is doing means really her and noone else. In NW she was only a singer. Now she can live her own music which seems to make her very happy. And I can understand that.
So I wish her the very best with what she’s doing and that she still manages it to let so many hearts of her fans burn and jump of happiness when they listen to HER songs.

Uskomatonta, miten yhdestä pisarasta voi tulla meri. Selailin läpi noita fanisivuja ja tätä blogia, ja todellakin olet todella rakastettu henkilö ympäri maailmaa! Hyvä niin.
Itse muistan joskus pienenä, ehkä ala- yläasteikäisenä kuulleeni äänesi omalta parvekkeeltani, kun järvi kantoi sen toiselta puolelta. Veljeni oli kuuntelemassa konserttia ns. Jätkänpuistossa, liekkö ollut Suviyön sumutus tai jokin muu pienen paikkakunnan nuorison konsertti. Olisi hauska tietää, muistatko ollenkaan niin pientä kyläpahasta päälle kymmenisen vuotta sitten kuin Suomussalmi Nightwishin alkuaikoina. Kuitenkin tuo elämys oli jotain niin kaunista, kuin joutsenen laulua, että se on hätkähdyttänyt minua syvästi läpi elämän. Edelleen kun kuuntelen albumejasi niin en uskoisi, että moinen ääni tulee edes tästä maailmasta.
Mutta kuitenkin, kovasti jaksamisia kaiken sen myllyn keskellä, mitä maailmanvalloitus on tuonut mukanaan! Olet vahva ihminen, kun jaksat painaa vastoinkäymisistä huolimatta. Toivottavasti löydät myös hetkiä pysähtyä katsomaan taaksepäin, miten paljon olet onnistunut muuttamaan maailmaa. Ja toivottavasti näet ja koet sen saman kauneuden tunteen, kun minä tuona hetkenä parvekkeella katsellen ympäröivää luontoa ja kuunnellessani maailman jumalaisinta laulua (tätä tosin varmaan kuulet kyllästymiseen asti). Eu acho que devo ter sido abençoada por ter nascido no dia mundial do rock! Eu tenho muito respeito por si,e tem uma grande voz,eu admiro-a. A Tarja inspiroume e eu sei as letras de algumas músicas suas quando andava nos Nightwish. Não precisa de ficar triste,porque a vida é feita mesmo assim de momentos altos e baixos. Um dia no futuro adorava ter uma banda e uma grande voz como a sua. Nos seus concertos faz qualquer pessoa chorar. A Tarja é o meu ídolo,é linda e muito talentosa. Tarja eu sou brasileiro e sempre te adimirei por seu jeito de batalhadora,por isso eu te digo nunca abaixe a cabeça por mais difícil que seja a situação nunca desista !
Faça isso que você provará para o Nightwish que você nunca desistirá de cantar porque Deus te deu um dom maravilhoso de cantar é como se você fosse um anjo cantando.
